Our Administrators

Mr. Dunnavant is in his 23rd year in education and currently serves as the principal of Moores Mill Intermediate School, where he is entering his third year in this role. He is passionate about creating a school culture that prioritizes student learning, supports teachers, and fosters strong relationships with families and the community.

Mr. Dunnavant earned his undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Alabama and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Samford University. His background in communication and educational leadership has equipped him to effectively lead and support both students and staff.

Throughout his career, Mr. Dunnavant has remained committed to high expectations, continuous improvement, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. He believes in the power of collaboration and works closely with teachers, parents, and the community to provide a positive and engaging learning environment.

Outside of school, Mr. Dunnavant enjoys spending time with his family. He is married and has two daughters who keep him busy and grounded.
